I think you'll agree our toothbrush holder is pretty dang spectacular.  The artist teaches monster making classes and I was able to go to one this week.

I was so incredibly happy with my monster.  And then I sat him next to all the others and felt like I hardly put in any effort or maybe I attended making a baby dragon class.  I'm just a simpleton attracted to cute stuff.  I guess that's no secret.

Thursday Thoughts
I'm linking up with Jennifer at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom.

-Halloween Stuff-
The dog ate our pumpkins.  We have 1 left.  I don't even feel like carving it because the dog will just eat it and someone will cry.  If I don't draw attention to the pumpkin the kids will forget about it.

I had this genius idea to make the kids Wreck-It Ralph costumes this year.  Guy didn't want to be Fix-It Felix so I didn't even try.  I guess Nels and Daisy could have still been Ralph and Vanellope but I'm a little too late on that.  They are going to be little puppies.  Puppies that pee on the carpet.

I don't really like pumpkin flavored stuff.  I guess that's normal?  I mean we only eat in season.  Nobody thinks pumpkin stuff is so great we need to preserve it and eat it year round?  Maybe people do.  Just like some people eat tacos on other days besides Tuesdays.

Cords and Cords

I have a basket of corded stuff.  It's kind of annoying.  I usually just try to wrap up the cords with twist ties but I don't know why I haven't taken more extreme measures until now.

I put everything in a plastic bag and labeled them.  I also pulled out anything that wasn't A/V related and moved it elsewhere.  Looks much less headachey.

I stuck the bin up top next to the globe so the children will not pull everything out while on a scotch tape search.  I think it looks so much nicer that I need to redo the rest of the shelf now.

Mall Painting

The kids didn't paint a mall, but they painted at the mall.  There was a little place where you drop your kids off while you shop and they get an "art lesson" and make a masterpiece!  I think this is so cool!  After I dropped them off I immediately went to Gymboree and bought them clothes?  I'm still learning how to manage "kid-free time".

A picture of unassuming art teachers + my kids.  Not creepy of me at all.

The finished artwork!  I watched them through the window enough to see that they did get a lot of help but I think they did enough that it is theirs.  Nels' ladybug looks like paint was spilled all over it but he says it's clouds.  Yep, an Nels original.

Pumpkin Patch

The obligatory pumpkin patch trip photos.  We went with grandpa but he didn't ride in the cow train so I didn't get his photo.  Shucks.
After the cow train the driver asked the kids if they liked it.  Guy's response was "No... I loved it!"  I was surprised but that response is totally him.

Picking out the perfect pumpkins for the dog to eat.

Got them!  They were all proud of their pumpkins, but Daisy most of all.

Thursday Thoughts
I'm linking up with Jennifer at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom for Thursday Thoughts.

Our bathroom in this rental didn't have privacy glass.  We can't see anyone out of those windows but it still seems weird.  I bought a window sticker covering and if you don't stare at it too hard it does look like a real privacy window.  I'm really impressed with the value of this stuff and it was really easy to put on.  The picture shows the window half complete!

I didn't like this book and am confused why something so cruel would be made into a movie?  And why is it doing so well?  Why am I over reacting?  Gosh, this book was just so sad and it made me feel awful and WHAT KIND OF ESCAPE IS THAT?!

Speaking of why things are made into visual entertainment... I'm watching some reality TV!  I like The Voice and The Amazing Race.  They make me happy.  My favorite part of The Voice is in the blind auditions.  When the coaches turn around and the contestants look excited is the best.  I especially like it if they mess up the song out of excitement.  That part of the show is over so it goes downhill from here.  I can only hear so many covers.  I like how The Amazing Race shows odd locations plus there are actually a couple of nice, non-screaming teams on this season.

Habit RPG

I have been playing Habit RPG for the past couple of days.  It is a to-do list that has RPG elements, like earning coins and buying armor but I haven't done that yet because I waste my coins on candy.  I think I'm being more productive with it or at least I'm being more organized with putting things off.  I'm level 6 and I have a pet bear!  And I'm half dead from leaving the laundry unfolded and in a pile for the past two days.   I thought I delegated that task to my bear?

I recently saw this article and need to look into this stuff The Best Tools to (Productively) Gamify Every Aspect of Your Life

Rainy Day

We tested out our raingear on a rainy day.  I think the best thing about it is you can go on a wet slide and not get soggy.  Also, waterproof stuff is very slick on a wet slide so it flings a little fellow way out there.  Be careful.

Last Comparison

Daisy is the same age as Lucy when Lucy died.  I have a hard time believing it.  I think it all stems from the hair.  Lucy had some.  Daisy was called a boy (again) yesterday.  I bought her a little headband to wear but she always takes it off and wear it as a super stylish bracelet that looks nothing like a bracelet.

After Lucy died I met someone whose daughter also passed, that daughter was 13 years old and her mom she had "barely knew her".  Lucy was 1 and I knew her so well so the idea of getting 12 more years and not knowing your daughter sounded slightly offensive.  But I get it now.  Lucy would be 5 now and in Kindergarten.  And that is sad and it does make me feel like I don't know her.  But I do, because she's not 5 and never will be.  Lucy is 20 months old.

Daisy is going to be older than Lucy soon.  She can stop being compared to little Saint-like Lucy which I'm sure she'll appreciate a lot when she is old enough to understand it.  I look forward to those new adventures.

The Tired Test

This is a deviation off of my Sick Test. I actually think we just eat a lot of ice cream.

The Sick Test

Little folks have been a little sick around here.  I know how to tell.  See who would rather take a nap than eat an ice cream cone.  Daisy passed the sick test!  Congrats to her.  She recovered quickly thanks to her napping diligence.

Nels was happy to get his ice cream but insisted I take this picture.  Kids are kind of bossy and they have sticky faces. I guess they are alright.

Little Sibling Approved

Guy turned 7 years old last month.  His grandma gave him a chair for his room but because of his stuff collection he decided to put it in front of the TV.  Little brother and sister approve!  Guy yells at them frequently to "get outta my chair!"  He's already training for fatherhood.

Ready for Rain

I just finished buying everybody rain gear.  I even bought them all new.  I thought about looking in the thrift shops but every time I went in I ended up buying some toys and a broken lamp instead.  I really should give myself more time and take more lollipops.  Lollipops are okay at thrift stores, I think.  Once at the mall Daisy had a lollipop and she stuck it to an undergarment on display.  I don't think that was okay.  Anyway, I think Daisy looks pretty swell in her new rain gear.  She has yet to see any rain but someday...

Life in Oregon

While living with my very kind, generous in-laws we had a chance to rediscover Oregon.  Posting all of the pictures just seems excessive, but I can show 4 pictures in 1 because I just found out about  I'm getting old and technologically unsavvy.
Oregon is as nice as I remember it.  I remember having trouble seeing through fog which makes for unpleasant driving but I haven't had to encounter that yet.  You know I think my car has fog light holes?  I might know what I want for Christmas.

So, we moved to our own place!  It's a rental but I feel like that's kind of what we need now.  I am so happy to unpack and get rid of all the boxes.
I've never seen people so excited to recycle cardboard.  The boys were seriously pouting when they found out there was no more cardboard to throw in.

So, we are all settled into our lazy, maybe slightly dangerous, habits.  (She didn't actually fall but I was picturing it while I took her picture and then since I'm technologically unsavvy I add pictures where they don't need to be.  I need to see if I can still buy some CDs full of ClipArt?  I could put them into my PowerPoint presentation on "The Pros and Cons of Misbehaving".)
